Who we are
This website, https://leamingtonpool.com, is operated by Leamington Pools, 53 Oak Street West, Leamington, Ontario N8H 2B2. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or contact us through it, how we use that information, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information you give us
There are two places on this site where you can send us personal information.
Contact form. When you use the form on our Contact Us page, we receive your first and last name, your email address, your phone number, how you heard about us, and the message you write. We use this only to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, and follow up on the work you asked about. We do not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
Job application form. When you apply for a position through the form on our About page, we receive your first and last name, your email address, the team you are applying to, your message, and the resume file you upload. We use this only to consider you for a position and to contact you about it.
Both forms store your submission, including any uploaded file, in our website’s database along with your IP address and the time it was sent. We keep the IP address to detect spam and abuse and to match a submission against our server logs if we need to investigate a problem. A copy of the submission is emailed to our staff so we can respond.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use a small number of third-party services to understand how the site is used and to keep it running. These services collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they are located. It sets cookies in your browser to recognise repeat visits. - Jetpack Stats (Automattic Inc.) gives us simple page-view counts. Automattic’s privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) sits in front of our website to protect it and deliver it faster, and provides Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures traffic without using cookies or tracking you across other sites. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Spam protection
Our contact and job application forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell real visitors from automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms).
Cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. On this site, cookies are set by Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA as described above. Cloudflare may also set a cookie needed for security. We do not use cookies for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some analytics will not be recorded.
Links to other websites
Our footer links to our Facebook and Instagram pages. Simply visiting this site does not send any information to those platforms. If you follow a link, the site you land on has its own privacy policy, and we recommend reading it.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, each of which processes data on our behalf, and with anyone we are legally required to share it with, such as a court order. The service providers listed above are based in the United States, so technical information they collect may be stored and processed outside Canada.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions and job applications, including any uploaded resume, are deleted from our website automatically two years after they are submitted. Google Analytics is configured to keep detailed event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months from your last visit to the site. Other analytics providers keep aggregated, non-identifying statistics according to their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw consent to further contact. To make a request, email [email protected] or call 519-326-6503. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca.
Children
This site is intended for adults looking for pool and spa services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new service to the site that collects personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
